Observation tower on the Drahoušek hill off Osečany

The observation tower with a charming view is located on the Drahoušek hill near Osečany. This multi-function concrete telecommunication tower was opened to the public in 2004.The observation deck is at a height of 32 metres and offers magnificent views of the Sedlčany and Neveklov regions. The tower is not open to the public around the clock; you need to check the opening hours in advance. On your way to the tower, you can visit the Josef Suk museum in the nearby village of Křečovice.

Route and transport to the site

Walking:

This site is not suitable for a hike from Slapy, due to its remoteness. The combination of car ride and a walk is ideal.

Cycling (approx. 28 km):

Golf Slapy - Buš - Čím - Chotilsko - Prostřední Lhota - Mokrsko - Čelina - Cholín - Nalžovice - Radíč - Osečany. From Osečany, follow the local road to Prosenická Lhota. On a ridge on the edge of a forest, you will find a small parking area. Taking a forest path, you can reach the tower within minutes. The route mostly follows local asphalt roads. Due to the remoteness of the site and the broken terrain, the trip is suitable for experienced cyclists.

By car (approx. 28 km):

Golf Slapy - Buš - Čím - Chotilsko - Prostřední Lhota - Mokrsko - Čelina - Cholín - Nalžovice - Radíč - Osečany. A parking lot can be found several hundred metres from the tower on the road from Osečany to Prosenická Lhota. The tower is visible from afar, you can't miss it.
