Peasant's Granary Museum in Prostřední Lhota u Chotilska

If you are interested in the history of the lives of humble peasants in the central Povltaví region, you should not miss the Granary of the Knights of the Cross, a branch of the Mining Museum Příbram located in Prostřední Lhota near Chotilsko. The museum is located in a monumental Baroque granary from 1770, originally a possession of the order of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star. On display is a large number of farm machinery, as well as smaller agricultural tools and items of everyday use in the homes of local farmers. In addition to that, the museum prides itself on an interesting collection of photos documenting the life in the villages, settlements and hamlets near the river, including a photo of the interior of the local pub. It is also possible to combine the trip with a walk to a nearby observation tower on the Veselý hill (2 kilometres), offering a charming view.
