Course Regulations - Saint John Golf Park Slapy 

1. Course Regulations - General Terms

  • All visitors are obliged to become acquainted with the Course Regulations of Saint John Golf Park and comply with the regulations during their visit. 
  • On the entire premises of the golf resort (two 9-hole courses, driving range, pitch-and-putt course, chipping and putting greens), visitors are obliged to comply with the safety rules and in no way endanger other visitors! 
  • Visitors are obliged to comply with the instructions given to them by marshals, greenkeepers, teaching pros and instructors and other personnel. 
  • Admission to the 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses is subject to a fee. The marshal and course managers have the right to check the payment of the fee at any time; visitors are obliged to show a payment receipt or a valid green fee for the given date and hour or tee time. Fees must always be paid in advance. 
  • During check-in at the reception, visitors are obliged to present a Czech Golf Federation membership card or a membership card for Saint John Golf Park. 
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all the buildings within the golf resort. 
  • Parking in the golf resort is available only at the driving range and beneath the clubhouse; parking in other areas is prohibited. 
  • Visitors who are under the influence of alcohol or narcotic and psychotropic substances may be requested to leave the premises. 
  • Children under 10 years of age may enter the premises only if accompanied by a person over 18 years of age unless the course manager specifies otherwise. 
  • Children under 10 years of age other than junior players are not allowed to enter the golf course.  
  • Caddies must comply with the basic rules for accompanying players. 
  • On the entire premises of the golf resort, players are not allowed to play wearing jeans (denim), sleeveless shirts, t-shirts without a collar (also applicable to women), and to play without wearing a shirt, in a bathing suit and in footwear with unsuitable soles (high heels or shoes with rough tractor or trekking soles). 
  • Visitors will be held fully liable for any damage they cause to health or property on the premises and in the vicinity. 
  • Visitors are obliged to maintain order on the premises of the golf course.  It is strictly prohibited to discard cigarette butts and other trash on the entire premises, in all open areas and also on all grass surfaces. 
  • Rude behaviour towards the marshals and receptionists, as well as other personnel, and towards other visitors and players will be deemed to be a gross breach of these Course Regulations; the visitor may be banished from the premises of the golf course. 
  • Visitors who repeatedly fail to comply with the Course Regulations may be prohibited from entering the golf course. 
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times throughout the premises. 
  • It is strictly prohibited to enter the golf course, driving range, pitch-and-putt course and chipping and putting greens with baby carriages. 

 

2. Course Regulations - General Terms; Golf Course

  • It is recommended that players check in sufficiently far in advance at the reception desk, ideally at least 15 minutes before the booked tee time. 
  • Players are obliged to tee off at the set tee time; they should arrive at the first tee at least 5 minutes before their tee time. 
  • The time limit for the 18-hole golf course is 5 hours, 2 hours and 30 minutes for the front nine (Rabyňská hora) and 2 hours and 30 minutes for the back nine (Tři kříže). In case of failure to comply with the time limit, the marshal is authorized to order the players to speed up and, if required, move them to the next hole without the possibility of completing the previous hole. 
  • Driving range balls may not be used on the golf course. 
  • There may be no more than 4 players in one flight; if there are fewer players in a flight, the receptionists and marshal are authorized to ask them to join other players in one flight. 
  • Each player must first check in at the reception desk. 
  • Players must comply with the rules of etiquette, particularly replace divots, repair pitch-marks on the putting greens and rake bunkers. 
  • A public road leads across holes Nos. 1, 3, 6 and 7 and holes Nos. 15 and 17 (from white tees); pedestrians and cars have the right of way. Players are obliged to enable visitors to cross safely. 
  • It is strictly prohibited to play the driver on the 9th tee; if this rule is violated, the player will be banished from the course! 
  • The marshal, manager and head greenkeeper are authorized to banish a player from the course, particularly on the following grounds: 
    - using the driver on the 9th tee 
    - failure to pay the fee (the player is unable to produce a payment receipt or valid green fee for his/her tee time) 
    - using driving range balls on the golf course 
    - repeated breach of etiquette 
    - rude behaviour towards the personnel of the golf resort 
    - dangerous behaviour, whereby the player endangers the health of other persons. 
  • Dogs are strictly prohibited on the golf course. 
  • For safety reasons, it is strictly prohibited to enter the golf course with a baby carriage. 
  • Children under 10 years of age other than junior players are not allowed to enter the golf course.  
  • Caddies must comply with the basic rules for accompanying players. 

 

3. Course Regulations - Driving Range and Other Practice Areas 

 
OPENING TIME: from 7:30 a.m. to dusk 
 
  • It is strictly prohibited to carry driving range balls outside the driving range. 
  • Grass hitting areas are marked as such – the top and bottom terraces. 
  • It is strictly prohibited to leave the hitting area to collect balls. 
  • Players and visitors must not disturb others in their practice. 
  • It is prohibited to leave children unattended in practice areas. 
  • Players and visitors are obliged to keep the premises clean and obey the instructions of the personnel. 
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times throughout the premises.

4. Course Regulations - Chipping and Putting Areas

  • Players must use their own balls on chipping and putting greens. 
  • Only putting is permitted on the putting green – no chipping! 
  • Players are obliged to rake the practice bunkers after use. 
  • Players must not disturb other visitors in their practice. 
  • Visitors must not leave their children unattended on the practice premises. 
  • All visitors are obliged to keep the premises clean and obey the instructions of the personnel. 
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times throughout the premises. 
 

5. Course Regulations - Pitch-and-Putt Course 

  • Each player must first check in at the reception desk. 
  • Driving range balls must not be used on the pitch-and-putt course. 
  • It is prohibited to demonstrate and teach the game on the public course; this does not apply to co-operating teaching pros and instructors. 
  • Players are obliged to replace divots, repair pitch marks and rake bunkers. 
  • The marshal, manager and head greenkeeper are authorized to banish a player from the pitch-and-putt course, particularly on the following grounds: 
    - failure to pay the fee (the player is unable to produce a payment receipt or valid green fee) 
    - using driving range balls on the course 
    - rude behaviour towards the personnel of the golf resort 
    - dangerous behaviour, whereby the player endangers the health of other persons. 
  • Dogs are strictly prohibited on the public course. 
  • For safety reasons, it is strictly prohibited to enter the pitch-and-putt course with a baby carriage.

 

St. John Golf Park - Local Rules and Regulations

  • Out of bounds
    White stakes. All fences around the golf course, including protective nets.
  • Lateral water hazards
    Lateral water hazards on holes Nos. 3, 4 and 5 are defined by red stakes or lines.
  • Water hazards
    Water hazard on hole No. 5 is defined by yellow stakes or lines.
  • Ground under repair
    Ground under repair, where play is prohibited, is defined by blue stakes or white lines. If the ball lies in this area or if this area interferes with the stance or intended swing, the player must take relief according to Rule 25-1.
  • Immovable obstructions
    Fenced water station on hole No. 2; all paths and bridges; parts of the irrigation system; sprinklers; irrigation shafts; garden houses on the 1st tee and behind green No. 1; all parts of the information and orientation system; waste bins and benches.
  • Movable obstructions
    Stones in bunkers.
  • Protection of young trees
    Young trees and bushes marked with a blue ribbon. If such a tree or bush interferes with the stance or intended swing, the player must take relief (free drop) according to Rule 24-2b (Immovable obstruction).
  • High-voltage lines
    If it can be justifiably assumed that the ball has hit the high-voltage lines on holes Nos. 1, 6 and 9, the player must replay the stroke without penalty.
  • Safety
    The road leading across holes Nos. 1, 3, 6 and 7 is public; pedestrians and vehicles always have the right of way. Please be careful. On hole No. 9, please adjust your club selection so as to avoid hitting the road and residential buildings located out of bounds on the right-hand side of the hole.

 

According to the Course Regulations, it is strictly prohibited to play the driver on the 9th tee. If this rule is violated, the player will be banished from the course.
